selected applicants, so not everyone who applies gets to audition?

March 16, 2009, Rhona - Organiser of Miss Sheffield says:

Thats correct Annie - 'selected applicants' means that not everybody who enters is invited to audition.

The first invites are going out before the end of March so if you have applied - keep an eye on your emails!

Hi, I've been selected to go to an audition, and in the email it has said that all successful finalists are to have a company sponsor, I just wanted to know why the sponsor is needed and what is asked of the sponsor. Thank you

Hi, I have been selected to go to an audition to. However I am really confused about the sponser who can be a sponser? Also like victoria i would like to know what is asked of the sponser? Thank you.

RE: WHAT IS SPONSORSHIP AND WHY DO I NEED ONE ?

It is usual in this type of competition where there is a 'live' final show that each of the successful finalists is asked to find a company to sponsor them.

Sponsors are offered an advertising and benefits package in exchange for a sponsorship fee.

You will not need to worry about securing a sponsor unless you are selected to take part in the final but if you are selected we send you a lot of information to help you and most finalists find it a lot easier than they thought it was going to be to find a sponsor.

Without local companies being involved the shows could not happen because , as you can imagine , the cost of staging an event like this is enormous.

We always support a charity through our competitions and always give every single penny raised through the contestants and on the night direct to the charity. Last year the Miss Hertfordshire heat raised over £6000 so we hope to raise a lot with the Miss Beds heat too.

Hope this helps
